I'd be concerned if someone I know had an axe named "HUSH NOW".

I also noticed the same Axe in a Comm Arts ad about non-Axe related design.

Everyone knows the Gransford Bruks is the only axe to drop a C-note on.<br /><br /> http://www.gransfors.us/axes.html

Or, perhaps both "GQ" and "Wired" are in bed with the ax company's publicist.

unless you're a lumber jack, i dont see why an axe will appeal to you as a holiday present.

I call "Shenanigans" I can't even find out what kind of steel the blade is made with or how it was forged? <br /><br /> <br /><br /> Looks like GQ and/or Wired must be pretty smitten with Buchanan-Smith's marketing techniques. They look like a decent graphic shop but I am not sold on their axe production just yet?

Isn't that GQ list "powered by Wired" or something? I thought those two lists were somehow connected..What I really want is not an axe, but that new Nikon projector digital camera.

No, they were different lists...<br /><br />

Valet posted <a href="http://www.valetmag.com/living/space/2009/bleeding_edge_051109.php?rss" target="_blank">something about these axes last May</a>.

Moreover, Valet has also include this axe in <a href="http://www.valetmag.com/features/2009/gift-guide/best-made-axe.php" target="_blank">their gift guide</a>.

"unless you're a lumber jack, I dont see why an axe will appeal to you as a holiday present."<br /><br /> <br /><br /> You would be surprised to know that some people actually appreciate such weird gifts! Many won't appreciate a truck as gift, but I know someone who lives and breathes trucks. To him, a truck is what a Mercedes is to us. :)<br /><br /> <br /><br /> Then I have a neighbor who loves playing with hammers and chisels. No, he was/is not a carpenter so that is what makes his "pastime" weirder! :)

Noticed that earlier tonight when reading Wired and GQ on flight. Is that collusion or the ultimate gift guide faux paus? Some PR company is high-5ing that victory. It's like a game to get a random word in a presentation. "We got an axe into 2 of the biggest gift guides of the season!"
