This list is great, but frustrating. The <em>King Kong</em> shot everyone remembers even if they haven't seen the film is the first approach POV of a plane attacking Kong on the top of the Empire State Building. Similarly, the <em>Star Wars</em> shot that they dismissthe opening shot of the Star Destroyer chasing the rebel cruiseris the one that made everyone realize that it was a different film from all of the other sci-fi dreck of the 1970s. Odd to see <i>Silent Running</i> not mentioned at all. Not to mention no mention of <i>Babe</i> which is arguably the best talking animal movie on many different levels. Ahhh. Look at me talk! Nerd guy I am.
