BackStory

CNN.com introduces BackStory, which uses coverflow (a display type popularized by iTunes) to historically navigate news stories. Like Jeff, I'm not sure coverflow works here, but the organizational technique is an interesting advance for news narratives.

Interesting because it follows something an AP research identified as a need that Web-savvy information seekers have - with people drowning in facts and updates, there's not enough backstory or what-happens-next. More <a href="http://ap.org/newmodel.pdf" target="_blank">here</a>, in a weighty PDF.
