i remember at the time thinking "i bet he's really like this." little did we know. magnolia is an excellent movie. i love julianne moore's drugstore freakout too, she's so completely messed up, yet totally hot. <br /><br />

Magnolia actually got pretty tepid reviews. It was perceived as "trying too much," and, I suppose, it did. But I loved it for that. It's also why I liked <em>Southland Tales</em> this year.
