Opening SXSW Film will be 21 (starring Jim Sturgess, Kate Bosworth, and Kevin Spacey), which mixes gambling, sex, and math genius -- so a sure hit. The trailer is here. [via]

The trailer came of as mostly feh to me. My bet is that they took an interesting - and <a href="http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/10.09/vegas.html">true!</a> - story, dropped the nerdy parts that are too hard for Americans to worry their heads with, munged it up with some psuedoscience bullshit, added a little sex and crapped out something that will ultimately be completely dissatisfying to everyone. I know that <a href="http://sniggle.net/barbie.php">Math is Hard</a> and all but this just feels like it's going to be a crappy movie version of that crappy TV show Numb3rs. Also, I suck at math and this kinda bullshit pisses me off.
