Me, On Shuffle

Chuck's newest Esquire column: Me, On Shuffle. The interrogative thesis might be puzzling (Chuck, you like '70s guitar riffs and things that sound like '70s guitar riffs -- dilemma solved!), but the nibbley multimedia format (a magazine article with music clips!) is sweet.

I just finally GOT Chuck's inner monologue, from this piece. It's directly from the pages of "Jimmy Corrigan: Smartest Boy on Earth". I didn't know Chris Ware was following Chuck around this whole time.

meant "Smartest Kid on Earth", but I may be mistaking him for the other Ware storyline "Rusty Brown". Case in point

someone should tell esquire about the del.icio.us playtagger.

http://del.icio.us/help/playtagger

I do like the idea of picking out all the favorite little parts of songs. I'm pretty sure that if I did that this year it would turn out to be a lot of strummy lo-fi guitar, some trumpets, and the beginning part of "nude" on In Rainbows.
