Questions: Have kids gone so far as to say of course there is a conspiracy? Or have they gone down the rabbit hole of not caring that might be one and they couldn't affect it if there were, no matter how many aluminum foil helmets they wear?

Those are interesting questions too, but I was just thinking more practically: kids have no idea what X-Files is anymore.

a lot of kids today were not that familiar with the Transformers either and still, the movie ruled this year's box office. I am not sure, however, that the same would happen with the new X-Files movie. Mulder and Scully shenanigans are simply too much for the kids to swallow. that is, if they stick to the old formula without trying to dumb the show down...

Right, and even if they did know about the X-files and understood what a Foo Fighter really was, I just don't think they are aware of the things the government could be hiding from us. Not that I'm paranoid or anything, and even if I <em>am</em> paranoid it doesn't mean it's not happening.
