Film: looks awesome. Mos Def, abandoning his obvious and prodigious musical talent to star in films with Jack Black: less awesome.

Hey, Rex. Long time no. Stumbled upon your site today. I attended a private screening of this with the cast/crew in March. Even as a rough cut, it was a remarkable film. There are moments that really harken back to Gondry's music video roots - his camera work and manipulation of mise en scène. Mos Def and Jack Black are well paired. This movie's got heart!
