Filmoculous

fimoculous -- 1.16 million hits. filmoculous -- 57 hits. Statistically, I guess it ain't so bad that a small number of people spell my blog name wrong. But you'd think that Broadcasting & Cable would at least spell it right! (But thanks for the mention, Lisa.)

I can just see Lisa Waggoner in a team meeting after reading this site: "And Veronica Mars was the coolest show ever! Everyone's really upset it was cancelled. Oh, hey, has anyone heard of Mee-uh?"

I can relate -- I'm always spelling it twitterkanyeoculous.com myself.

i kind of feel like "filmoculous" fits you better. then again, i also think every child in the world should have a puppy and a kitten, so what do i know?

Other notables who spell it wrong: <a href="http://www.panopticist.com/" target="_blank">Panopticist</a>, <a href="http://krucoff.com/archives/2005/mar/033005.html" target="_blank">Krucoff</a>, and <a href="http://gawker.com/news/party-crash/team-party-crash-chuck-klostermans-killing-yourself-to-live-book-party-113289.php" target="_blank">Gawker</a>. I've corrected Lockhart probably a half-dozen times now.

maybe that's just the fake version that they use on the show.

I found you via the YPulse blog, which also called you Filmoculous.

I like that filmoculous.com has squatted you. THAT's an honor.

Totally saw that while reading the trades yesterday. Seriously thought someone might be biting your name. :)

Best line in the article: "Don't worry, I haven't heard of them either."

I guess the correct spelling depends on who you are. <a href="http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=fimicolous&r=66" target="_blank">Dictionary.com</a> and <a href="http://www.onelook.com/?w=fimicolous&last=fimoculous&loc=spell1" target="_blank">a few others</a> go with fim<strong><em>i</em></strong>colous. Come to think of it, I can't find any dictionaries that spell it your way. Sure you got it right???
