Finally, someone offers a cogent analysis of Paris Hilton's fame: she's all about the links, baby.

Brilliant analysis, but one thing is missing. This is a reading of Paris that works to save Paris from herself - but nowhere does it make any mention of the social ramifications of having a cultural icon devoid of any substance. Yes, I get it, things mean because of what they are not - but semiotics shouldn't apply to people. <a href="null" target="_blank"></a>
