Redesign

Fimoculous.com got another dusting and cleaning today. Drop your thoughts in the comments.

Looks great, though it looks like the Ads by Google on the right are screwing something up (I'm on Firefox). <br /> <br /> BTW, for your Flickr pics are you using one of their badges?

Well, it's cleaner and simpler, and it's easier to see the new stuff, which is nice. I wonder: (1) Are the subjects in the first column intended to eventually function as category tags? (2) Would there be any benefit at this point to providing for perusal of your post archive beyond the "search" function? (I'm just curious what your thoughts are on this second one -- I'm of two minds about it, myself.)

Hmmmm. Its not that I don't like change but... I don't like scrolling down in the linear way you have done it this time. It seems you are organizing by subject and time. Call me old school, but I liked the original format the best. However, no matter the format you always have great info so I will read it no matter what.

I like this better than version 2.0. It's easier to see the new stuff, and easier to see that comments are a part of this. And since you don't update your long posts, it's nice to see that in a smaller section on the right side. This is kind of <a href="http://www.fark.com" target="_blank">fark-ish.</a> Which is a good thing.

I like this better, being able to tell which are the new links. The old one was making me not want to visit, or only once in a while.

Much better. Now we can see what's updated more easily.

you can't be serious. <br /> maybe it's just cuz i see the 'most recent' via an external reader that i don't see the benefits all these yay-hoos think they see. i say revert. revert today.

Yes, I like. At first, I liked the previous box-o-rama categories, but I agree with what eric says. Easier to see what's new. And I can click on a category to get my box if I need it.

I was just getting used to the old version!

I loved the old layout. This one looks like it's broken on my office computer's sketchy old version of IE. <br /> How does your comment system work BTW? It's beautiful and simple.

I preferred all of the previous versions to this one.

I rather liked the last version you had up - each subject-category getting its own little fimocular cell. But, the way you have it now makes it much more apparent to me that there's new content. I'd have done the work to check with the last version, though.

I like this version better than the last, but the version before that the best. My why's are the same as the others: this one is easier to read for new content.

Much improved...I just wanna see what is new...and this does the trick. <br /> <br /> It's a keeper.

Wait, yeah, I liked the green and black one best. Can't even remember what it looked like now, but didn't like the version that came after. Say, the little icon on my firefox tab for this site looks like a rolled up condom. Kind of like you might find on the subway floor but, you know, not "full", and still rolled up.

<strong>you should absolutely go back three generations to the green and black. no question.</strong>

Although the new design looks neater, I miss having the chunks of information divided up, rather than 'tagged' as it is now. Just me perhaps - it's still grade-A stuff...
